Privacy

Short version: the apps keep everything on your Mac, and this site keeps almost nothing.

The apps

Yardmaster runs entirely on your Mac. It sends nothing anywhere: no accounts, no telemetry, no crash reports, no update pings. Its rules and its log live in your home folder and you can delete them at any time. A licence key is checked on your Mac against a public key built into the app; the app never contacts a licence server.

Buying

Payments are handled by Polar, the merchant of record. Polar collects what a purchase needs — your email, the name you type, payment details we never see — under Polar's privacy policy. After payment our server receives your order id, name and email from Polar, puts the name and email into your licence key so it reads as yours, and keeps that record so we can send the key again if you lose it. That is the only personal data we store, and we delete it on request.

This website

We count visits with a self-hosted copy of Umami: page views and clicks on the download and buy buttons, without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without anything that identifies you. Nothing is shared with third parties. Downloads are served from this site directly.
